Intro Banter - The guys open the show and talk about what's new and happening in their worlds.

Taking off the lid - What's in the Box (Un-boxing). What I want here is to relay the unboxing process and experience over the show: Take a game and actually open it on the show!

The key here is to relay the experience of the function in words, narratively. To share in the joy of unboxing a new board game, not so much in theatrics, but in information, to be so narrative that it tells a story, that we go into the world that this box has, that we share that feeling and that function.

Getting to know you - We look at certain boardgame related topics and explore strategies for getting involved. FINALLY we look at trading as a means to complete/Cull a collection, right after the influx you just got at the holidays! You’re Welcome!!

Conventional wisdom - convention going ons. Getting the year started off right!!

First Impressions – We talk about the first time with a title, from the acquisition to the first look, to the first play and deliver thoughts in writing and on the show.

Spoken Tokens: Our interactions with you, ‘The Spoken’ our wonderful listeners!

This episode’s question comes from Richard Keuler:

I wonder whether the culture of free games that has developed among people that are deep in the hobby is good for the hobby as a whole. The default choice in getting people to events (meetups, conventions, etc.) is often the enticement of free games. Does this exacerbate the devaluation of what games should cost?  Internet pricing drives it but does the amount of free stuff increase the trend line?
